Where it started
Twenty emails a day, and no time to build
Every morning I'd open a list of local businesses, click into each website, look for something worth pointing out, and write an email from scratch. Twenty on a good day.
The emails that got replies all had one thing in common. They talked about something real on that business's site. The generic ones got zero replies.
So I stopped writing them myself and automated the whole thing, without losing the personal part.
Step 1 · Analysis
Every site gets checked first
I pick a niche and a city, say bakeries in Austin, and load the list. Then every website gets audited for design, SEO, mobile and speed. Hundreds of sites, while I work on something else.
Step 2 · The email
Then it writes what I would have written
Each email is built from what was found on that exact site. Every highlighted part below comes from a real finding. They're good enough to send as they are.
Hi Marta,
I was looking for a birthday cake on South Congress and found your site. The photography is lovely and the sourdough story makes the place feel handmade.
On my phone everything shrinks, and I had to pinch and zoom to read the menu. Most cake searches happen on phones, so that's likely costing you orders.
The site also took about six seconds to open, and a lot of people leave before it finishes. With lighter images and faster hosting it could load in under a second.
Add a more modern layout with bigger photos and a clear order button, and your baking would sell itself.
I'd be happy to sketch a fresh homepage for you, free. Just reply yes.
Step 3 · Start the campaign
One click, and it runs
My mailboxes are already warmed up. I press start, emails go out every weekday at a normal pace, and interested replies land in my inbox. That's my whole involvement.
Why it's worth it
What a 2% interest rate means
10,000 emails means 200 business owners saying "tell me more." A website client isn't a $20 sale. One yes pays for everything.
$3,000 for the website plus $500 a year for maintenance. The automation costs $49 a month, so one client covers it for about six years. Close five of those 200 and it's $17,500.
